Tips Before Starting Any Painting Project

Before starting any painting job the most important part is the preparation. For example, sheets must always be dropped on floors and all furniture covered in advance. As well, all damage to walls must be repaired before painting. Good plastering is needed where walls are cracked followed by sanding and application of a latex primer. Finally, all baseboards and frames should be inspected and caulking applied if necessary.
It is very important to clean the working area (for example the dust on the floor) before starting the painting process. In most cases a good preparation can take longer than the painting, but if done right the painting will go smoother and faster.
